Sean joined the University of St. Andrews’ Social Anthropology Department as a Research Fellow in Energy and Ethics in 2018. In his current role, he specializes in Economic Anthropology and is engaged in a multi-year European Research Council funded project on energy, with a geographic focus on Houston. Previously, Sean was a Lecturer at the University of Toronto and an Adjunct Professor at Queen’s University (Canada) where he taught graduate and undergraduate courses in the School of Policy Studies, the Smith School of Business and the Department of Geography and Planning. Sean has been a consultant for the World Bank in West Africa and worked for RBC. He received a BComm in marketing management and an MSc in applied economics from the University of Guelph where he tutored economics. He received his PhD in economic geography from Queen’s University in 2016.
